Knowledge Management - the sysetmatic identification, organisation, storage and retrieval of an organisations informational assets - is becoming an important functional area in a growing number of leading organisations.

The Knowledge Management Specialists Remuneration Survey was launched in 2004 and the inaugural report was published in the autumn 2004.
ROLES COVERED BY THIS SURVEY

The survey examines the remuneration of two groups of Knowledge Management professionals:
  • Knowledge Organisation specialists, whose roles are concerned with the identification of the organisations information needs (both existing knowledge and information to be acquired), about how such information is stored, preserved and shared and working with users to ensure that they are able to most effectively access the information they require.
  • Knowledge Solutions specialists, who provide the more complex information solutions in situations demanding a significant amount of expert analysis and research. Knowledge Solutions specialists create packaged insights, analysis and information for use by client-facing professionals.
